Throughout Childhood and Adolescence, Girls Lose Self-Esteem while Boys Gain
Studies from Girl Scouts of America and Lean In Org show that from elementary school to high school, a girl's self-esteem will drop 3.5 times more than a boy's. When a boy is outspoken and raises his hand in class, he's called a leader. When a girl does the same, she is called bossy, which serves to discourage girls from an interest in leading. The #banbossy campaign seeks to end this dramatic disparity and cultivate future female leaders.
